Obesity in the UAE

In these days, obesity in the UAE has increased and changed a lot within 20 years. The solution for obesity should start with the people themselves then the governments.

   Starting with problem that causes obesity, one is a change in diet. People think that fast food is one of reasons for diet. Also, our special traditional food is available all the time and everywhere. A further cause by the change in lifestyle. People are less active and don’t do exercise or physical work. Young people can eat outside home and can spend more money on food. Another issue is that people nowadays are lacking the knowledge about good eating habits and are not aware of good nutrition. Children are fed too much and the family keeps them at home where they should take them to the park to do some exercise. In society the attitude to food is not giving the awareness to people.

   Fortunately, there are effects for this dangerous addiction. One answer is to budget the amount of money spent on unhealthy food, people should know what to eat and avoid fast food. People should change their lifestyle and do some exercises. They must concentrate on their health. Society should educate people about healthy eating, especially young people.

   To conclude, addiction to obesity is a widespread disease, but with the right habit, it can be changed and cured. Society should take the responsibility to change this within people and people must know what to eat.

Car parking cause and effect

      Abu Dhabi is the capital of the UAE. Many locals and tourists are visiting the city. This leads to parking problems in Abu Dhabi. This essay will discuss the cause and effect of this matter.

     There are many reasons why we suffer parking problems every day. One of those is the rapid growth of population. The number of cars increased. Another point is that people have more than one car, which are taking more space. The increase of transport cars and company cars also causes parking problems. Sometimes, new buildings or new projects can lead to parking problems where some projects will close some parking that make a parking jam.

    Parking problem also has many effects. One of the most important problems is long delays in getting to and from work when it’s hard to find parking. A farther point is that it can lead to traffic jams. Finally, these problems make the person angry and impatient due to difficulty in finding parking.

Reason for Choosing University

The chart shows 11 reasons why first year students from overseas chose a particular university. The survey of 1,000 first year overseas students was carried out at universities in the UK. The top three reasons are language of tuition, quality of teachers, and up-to-date teaching facilities.


According to the graph, the main reason is the language of tuition. At 95% of the sample, it was the main reason most students gave for choosing a university. The second biggest factor was quality of teachers, at 90%, followed by facilities, also at 90%.

Non-teaching factors were also important. Tuition cost were quoted as a reason by 75%, and location was mentioned by 75% of students. The cost of accommodation is also an important factor for 80% of respondents. Almost two-thirds of students said that the friendliness of the university was important.

In conclusion the various factors can be divided into two groups, namely those related to teaching and non-teaching related. However, the most important are the language and the teachers.
